Projects that use cyberpunk as a surroundings are insanely few, and good games of this category can be counted on the fingers of one hand of a milling mill with experience. Only “Bladerunner” and the object of my attention today come to mind. Of course, there was also Systemshock, but, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t play it normally, so I will not judge. What Cyberpank did not please the developers so? In my opinion, this is simply not a plowed field for developers. Opportunities that can be recreated in the scenery of cyberpunk are limited only to fantasy. This is the future, but in the future everything is possible – do I don’t want. Not in any other universe, whether it is fantasy or post -apocalypse (in which there are quite a little limiting factors), there is no such space for fiction. So what’s the matter? Developers lack imagination? Or just laziness does not allow you to create such a worked out world of cyberpanus that they would believe in it? Or cyberpunk is simply not popular now? I can’t answer these questions. I can only lift that there are very few such projects (the good soon one such is awaiting us, let’s hope it will be worthy).
For large corporations, the world is just a toy

As for me, it is “Fallout”, “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.»(Fantasy projects I do not take into account, t.To. there everyone has their own atmosphere). And here is «Deus ex». The world of the game is filled with small details that create a complete picture. Newspapers, books, tramps, corporations – all this contributes to immersion in the world of game. And yet, not even the atmosphere is the main trump card of the game. The whole highlight lies in the nonlinearity of the solution of the tasks. I remember in the «Stories of the series» the structure of the levels of «Chaos Theory» and the ability to achieve the goal in different ways were praised. So – forget. They can not only be thrown into the enemy, but also attached to the wall (in this case, they will explode if someone passes by). The game is worthy of the title of classics, because there is simply no other such game (or I have not met). “Deus Ex” is required to pass through, everyone should get acquainted with it, at least in order to understand how games were made before.
